Canadian Base Operators' Meaford's team is growing! If you are a committed and collaborative professional looking to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team, this opportunity is for you. We are currently looking for a full time temporary Administrative Support person. This is a maternity leave coverage position to March 2026.
This position is located in Meaford at the 4th Canadian Division Training Centre and typically reports directly to the Contracts Manager. We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Support person to support our HR and Contracts teams. In this dynamic role, you'll play a key part in the employee lifecycle by assisting with onboarding, offboarding, and general HR administration. You'll also work closely with our Contracts Manager to handle data entry and ensure accurate record-keeping. Primary and Essential Accountabilities:
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including document preparation and system update
- Maintain and organize HR records, files, and database
- Support HR with administrative tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and reporting
- Schedule and assist with interviews
- Coordinate background checks, reference checks, and new hire paperwork
- Help manage employee data in HR systems and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Provide administrative support to the Contracts Manager, including data entry and document tracking
- Assist with contract filing, version control, and maintaining contract databases
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth communication and workflow between departments
- Respond to internal inquiries and provide general administrative support as needed
- Other general tasks as assigned
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma considered an asset
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Proficient knowledge and understanding of:

Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Teams

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work independently and with minimal direction
*Must be able to achieve and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance*
