What is the opportunity?
This position is responsible for the management of the suite of products under Wealth Management for RBC Insurance This includes overseeing the life cycle and managing ongoing support of segregated fund and payout annuity products as well as acting as subject matter expert for all Wealth product information. This role supports the attainment of our strategic objectives and greatly influences the brand reputation for RBC Life Insurance Company.
What will you do?
- Support product management responsibilities utilizing cross functional teams from various areas both within and outside wealth management
- Investigate opportunities to improve efficiencies that result in increasing our overall profitability
- Assist with preparing and analyzing product performance and support regular reporting for internal stakeholders
- Filing of all regulatory documents with CRA, provincial and federal regulatory bodies
- Work with key stakeholders to issue semi-annual and annual financial statements
- Manage and triage inquiries for the individual life, health and wealth inboxes
What will you need to succeed?
Must Have:
- 3 to 5 years of segregated fund product management/development experience OR 5 to 7 years of experience in a role relating specifically to wealth insurance (i.e. sales, marketing, operations, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of the insurance wealth business, and a strong grasp of financial planning and equity markets
- Excellent data analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including public speaking, negotiation skills and relationship building/management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and Power Point)
Nice to Have:
- CSC or IFIC course would be an asset
- University degree preferred/require
