What Will You Do? As a User Experience Designer, you will shape the experiences we create across our suite of digital products. Working within an agile, iterative environment, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and stakeholders to analyze, design, and convey your ultimate vision. You’ll use your expertise to delight users with designs that inspire, engage, and excite. As a natural problem solver, communicator, and facilitator, you’ll be involved in every step of the product lifecycle—from initial idea generation to final implementation.
What You Will Work On Design Strategy Understand user interface patterns and behaviors, using that knowledge to drive user comprehension and improve task performance. Use visualizations and interactions to support analytic thinking within large, complex data sets. Facilitate design critiques, evaluate interactions for inclusivity, and provide expert advice and guidance to cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Lead ideation sessions and collaborative team workshops. Act as the interaction design subject-matter expert for the core product design team.
Artifact Creation Leverage a comprehensive understanding of interaction design theory, visual design theory, research data, and best practices to inform design decisions. Create complex, low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore, communicate, and validate ideas. Develop high-fidelity prototypes to provide precise delivery specifications for engineering teams. Present interaction design work and rationale to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Research and Testing Facilitate usability testing sessions. Participate in or initiate proactive user research activities. Research industry-wide interaction design strategies and perform competitive audits pertinent to specific design or business goals. Perform pattern, micro-interaction, and component design audits where appropriate.

What Do You Need to Succeed? Must-Have BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A professional portfolio that includes comprehensive digital application design samples. A minimum of 5 years of experience designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platforms. Experience in an applied research setting, including a proven track record of integrating user insights directly into product designs. Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, rationale, and logic—clearly describing benefits and highlighting risks associated with design decisions. Demonstrated expertise with industry-standard design, prototyping, and research tools (e.g., Figma, Mural, UserTesting.com).
Nice-to-Have MA/MS degree or professional certification in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field. Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of various research methods, including when and how to apply them during each unique product phase. A deep appreciation for and mastery of "Design Thinking" methodologies. Experience working within a large organization and navigating agile environments.
