What the Role Looks Like
As an on-site Event Chef or Cook, you'll be part of a mobile culinary team preparing and serving food at events throughout the GTA. You may be leading a plated service one day and working a high-end cocktail reception the next.
You'll start at our commissary kitchen in Etobicoke, where you'll prep for events, then travel to venues to execute food service on location. We rely on our team to deliver not only incredible food-but also professionalism, cleanliness, and speed.
Your Day-to-Day Might Include:
- Executing menus for events ranging from 10 to 1,000+ guests
- Leading or supporting a kitchen team in on-site setups
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation
- Collaborating with chefs, planners, and service staff for smooth execution
- Packing, transporting, setting up, and breaking down mobile kitchens
Who We're Looking For
You're a team player with a sharp palate, a cool head, and a strong sense of timing. You take ownership of your work, keep things clean, and don't crack under pressure. And most of all-you love making great food that people remember.
Ideally, you have:
- At least 3 years of professional culinary experience (event or catering experience is a plus!)
- The ability to work solo or lead small teams, depending on event scale
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- The physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in high-heat or mobile environments
- A professional attitude, punctuality, and attention to detail
Access to reliable transportation is an asset, as travel to and from venues is part of the job.
