Job Description:
On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a BizTalk Integration Developer to work with the Systems Integration Services team to plan and execute (design, build, test, document, and deploy) required integrations between various systems.
Responsibilities:
• Developing HL7 v2x integration applications that meet business requirements and goals, while maintaining information integrity across all systems and adhering to standards and best practices.
• Developing non-HL7 integration applications that meet business requirements and goals, while maintaining information integrity across all systems and adhering to standards and best practices.
• Designing, developing, installing and configuring Integration applications within the provincial Integration Engine (MS BizTalk) environment.
• Working with the various stakeholders (Business Teams, Project Managers, Project Teams, etc.) to ensure successful solution implementation.
• Completing all assigned development and maintenance tasks (service requests, releases, incidents, problems, etc.).
• Monitoring, performance-tuning and troubleshooting application and environment issues to meet and adhere to a high level of system availability.
• Work directly with customers to define requirements and present solutions.
• Responsible for guiding development using BizTalk products and other technologies to build integrations that support business requirements.
• Managing technical scope and client expectation.
• Ensure alignment with Systems Integration Services team.
• Produce solution documentation following Systems Integration Services team documentation templates.
• Review solutions developed with, and transfer knowledge to, the Systems Integration Services team.
Qualifications:
Mandatory Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, a related discipline, or certification in Information Technology from a recognized institution. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of five (5) years of IM/IT experience.
- Demonstrated three (3) years of experience developing HL7 v2x interfaces with BizTalk Server (version 2013 or newer) in a clinical healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English.
- Submitted resumes must be a maximum of 5 pages, focusing on Scored Requirements and Deliverables.
- Vendors must submit only 3 candidates for consideration; if more are submitted, only the first three will be reviewed.

- Demonstrated experience developing HL7 v2x interfaces with BizTalk Server (2013/2016/2020) in a clinical healthcare setting, including:

- General Lab (ORU – discrete values).
- Lab Micro Orders and Results (ORM/ORU).
- Surgical Bookings/Case Records (SIU/ORM/ORU/MDM).
- Radiology Results (ORU).
- Clinical Documentation (MDM).
- Details of systems exchanging data, integration solutions, platform used, and role/responsibilities. (3+ years)
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with business and technical SMEs on requirements elicitation and process definition, including:
- Types of communications and interactions.
- Information-seeking approach (questions, investigation, research).
- Deliverables generated. (5+ years)
- Demonstrated experience in application integration design and implementation, including:
- Types of analysis completed.
- Whether designing new solutions or enhancing existing ones.
- Evaluation of decision points.
- Deliverables produced. (3+ years)
- Demonstrated experience integrating with SQL Server databases using BizTalk Server (2013/2016/2020), including:
- Specific versions used.
- Details of integration solutions.
- Role and responsibilities in each engagement. (At least 1 project reference)
