About the role
Davis Dodge Ltd. is currently seeking a qualified Journeyman Automotive Service Technician to join their busy dealership in Fort Macleod, Alberta. The successful candidate will work with us on a permanent full-time basis.

Wages: Starting wages will range from $36 per hour to $40 per hour (depending on experience), working 40 hours per week.
Credentials: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certificate required; preference will be given to individuals who have also achieved level 3 Chrysler training.
Job Duties:
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components or commercial transport truck systems
- Discuss work with supervisor
- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Inspect motor in operation and road test motor vehicles
- Review work orders
- Test automotive systems and components
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components
- Perform scheduled maintenance services
- Estimate parts and labour costs
- Test and adjust units to specifications
- advise customers on work performed and future repairs required
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
- Coach and instruct apprentices
- Provide customer service

Requirements:
- Automotive Service Technician Trade certification
- A valid Driver's License
- 3 to 5 years of experience
- Attention to detail
- Dependability
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good judgement
- Team player

- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Reliable and punctual
- Flexible
- English is required for verbal and written communication
- Able to stand, bend, crouch for an extended period of time
