Job Summary
The Product Family Leader (PFL) – ATS Learning Simulation Systems is a senior manager role responsible for managing a set of Simulation Products to deliver business solutions supporting ATS Learning over the life of the Products from initial development, through deployment and adoption, ongoing support and ultimately to end of life. This includes all the Simulation requirement needs of ATS Learning, necessary for their delivery of ATS training at NAV CANADA based on current priorities and longer-term strategies.
The Product Family Leader will direct their team to conceive, define, implement, test, deliver, monitor, refine, support and withdraw their Products to maximize ATS Learning results. They manage and deliver against an allocated budget for their Products. They conduct research, and work with key stakeholders across the business and technology to develop and convey product visions and roadmaps. They lead their team to deliver and sustain the end-to-end client experience.
Product vision and roadmaps may extend to other areas of the business where appropriate, and as such, the Product Family Leader will collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure NAV CANADA has a cohesive company-wide Simulation Systems Strategy.

In this role you will:
Product and Business Relationship Management
- Responsible for creating and maintaining Product Vision, Strategy and Roadmap covering the product’s full lifecycle, aligned with NAV CANADA ATS Learning and stakeholder needs.
- Partners with ATS Learning leaders to establish a prioritized set of requirements for solutions that improve the overall effectiveness, efficiency and compliance of NAV CANADA’s ATS Learning operations.
- Develops and delivers the Product Vision, Strategy and Roadmap that align with the Enterprise Architecture and Technology direction of NAV CANADA and are consistent with ATS Learning and enterprise priorities.
- Secures investment for Product Roadmap initiatives, following the NAV CANADA approved processes.
- Researches and interprets industry and technology trends that could impact the Product Vision and Roadmap.
- Continually monitors and refines the Product Roadmap to meet ATS Learning needs and take advantage of new capabilities and features.
People Leadership & Management
- Provides coaching, mentorship and positive leadership of the entire Product Family team to maintain a healthy and productive workplace
- Works effectively and in a highly collaborative fashion with other teams across Technology and the company.
- Accountable and responsible for a team of Technology professionals working through technical leads, specialists and managers.
- Ensures the responsible use of all resources and assets for the benefit of NAV CANADA; manages operating and capital expenditures in line with applicable budgets and approvals, and in accordance to stated company and CTO and Technology objectives and priorities.
What you bring:
- Undergraduate degree in a technology related discipline or equivalent work experience
- Master of Business Administration or advanced Technology degree
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in Technology, Operations, ATS Learning or other relevant business
- 3-5 years of experience managing people in a Technology-enabled environment
- Significant experience with Simulation Systems used for learning purposes
- Demonstrable knowledge of the product management or portfolio management discipline
- Demonstrable knowledge of financial models and plans
- Familiarity with the principles of product delivery

Working Conditions:
