About the role

OVERVIEW

Michael Garron Hospital (Toronto East Health Network) is seeking Clinical Resource Leader (Educator) to join our interprofessional leadership team in Respirology, Progressive Weaning Centre, and Internal Medicine. This role combines clinical leadership,staff education, and professional practice support to enhance safe, evidence-based, patient- and family-centered care.

As a key member of the leadership team, the Nurse Educator/Clinical Resource Leader will:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for nursing and interprofessional staff.

  • Advance professional practice through evidence-informed guidelines, coaching, and mentorship.

  • Review, develop, and update clinical practice policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current evidence-informed standards.

  • Partner with managers and teams to foster innovation, continuous quality improvement, and a culture of safety.

  • Support staff in managing complex clinical scenarios and contribute to organizational change initiatives

EDUCATION

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (General Class).

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or Education required.

  • CNA certification reflective of the patient population an asset.

  • BLS certification required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years recent clinical and leadership experience in respirology, critical care, or related patient populations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in adult education theory and practice (needs assessment, curriculum design, simulation, eLearning).
  • Strongfacilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Use of innovative educational modalities, such as simulation and eLearning is an asset.
  • A team player with the ability to develop and maintain partnerships with multiple, diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to act as a change agent and manage projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and troubleshoot with critical and creative thinking ability.
  • Flexible, organized, and self-directed within scope of responsibility; has initiative and independent judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a healthy workplace including fair and equitable work practices.
  • Working knowledge of clinical/administrativecomputer software, including MS office.
  • Membership and active involvement in related professional organizations.
