This posting is to fill one (1) full-time, permanent position working 75 hours bi-weekly.

The Labour Relations branch provides labour relations leadership and expertise for the development and administration of employee relations for the Yukon government, manages the collective bargaining processes and supports departments in employee relations matters.

We are looking for an experienced research and administrative professional who is energetic and extremely organized. Our ideal candidate is someone dedicated to providing high quality support to a small group of busy professionals. We are looking for someone who is keen and motivated to support the various components of our work including maintaining a database of past interpretations and decisions, researching case law and providing general senior level administrative support.

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience providing research support in a legal, professional or academic setting.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to review and summarize legislation, regulations, case law, policy documents, or labour market data.
  • Experience preparing clear, concise, and well-structured briefing materials, reports, and summaries for internal stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative services in a professional setting to a branch/unit.
  • Knowledge of labour relations principles, employment and labour legislation, and collective bargaining frameworks, particularly within the public sector would be an asset.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
