Production Assembly Technician
About the role
Hourly rate: $19.00 / hr
Type: Full-time + OT Location: Markham, ON
Position Overview
We are hiring a detail-oriented Production Assembly Technician to support the assembly of small, precision-based medical devices. This role is best suited for someone with steady hands, strong focus, and experience working with very small parts in a controlled production environment.
Main Duties
Build small medical devices according to approved work instructions and production procedures Complete detailed hand soldering using a microscope Apply bonding agents or adhesives to small components with accuracy Use microscope and camera-assisted equipment for precision assembly tasks Review completed parts to ensure they meet quality and performance expectations Carry out basic testing and inspection steps as required Complete production records and quality paperwork accurately Package and prepare completed products for shipment Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety expectations Follow ISO 13485 quality and regulatory requirements Lift, move, or handle materials up to 50 lbs when needed Support additional production tasks as directed by the Supervisor

Preferred Experience
Post-secondary education is considered an asset, especially in biotechnology, electronics, medical technology, or a related field At least 6 to 12 months of hands-on experience in production, manufacturing, medical device assembly, electronics, jewelry, or detailed bench work Experience using microscopes or magnification tools is preferred Hand soldering experience is considered an asset Comfortable handling tiny, fragile, or delicate parts Able to follow detailed instructions with consistency and accuracy Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments, including ISO 13485, is an asset

Strong hand-eye coordination Excellent fine motor skills Ability to stay focused while working under magnification Very strong attention to detail Patient, steady, and precise approach to work Comfortable with repetitive, independent work Reliable, punctual, and consistent Able to follow standardized processes exactly as written
This is a highly controlled production role. Employees are expected to follow approved procedures and should not independently troubleshoot, adjust, optimize, or change established processes.
