SCHEDULE/LOCATION OF WORK
8-Hour days, 5 days per week (Monday - Friday)
Facility in Rosenort, MB (35 mins south of Winnipeg
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Service Writer plays a key role in managing customer service and communication within the department. Acting as a liaison between customers and technicians, they gather information about service needs, create work orders, and ensure timely and accurate service delivery. Additionally, the Service Writer will track and organize shipments, monitor shipment dates, and handle cross-border paperwork to ensure smooth operations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer requests for service and installation from internal personal or directly from the customer
- Keep customers informed of the status of their calls
- Maintain accurate filing of work orders
- Know the status of incomplete jobs and follow up with customers and service technicians
- Keep accurate status of work orders by entering descriptive notes and applying proper process
- holds as needed
- Provide regular status updates to management.
- Resolve and make notations on all outstanding work orders on a weekly basis
- Handle customer complaints and take-action to investigate, process, and resolve the situations in a timely matter
- Assign work order number, fill in number on timecards, and hand sales order to Parts Dept.
- Ensure Technicians are providing adequate service
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be attentive to detail
- Previous experience initiating and implementing Service and Warranty Program processes
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 Education or 3 Years Experience in similar positions
- Computer skills in Excel and similar programs, emails etc.
- Previous experience Initiating and Implementing Service and Warranty Program Processes
- Fluent in English
- At least 1 year experience in Customer Service
