The Role
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented IT Coordinator to join our IT Team. This role is ideal for someone with a blend of administrative and light technical skills who thrives in a support-oriented, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will help keep IT operations running smoothly by managing ticket intake, coordinating hardware inventory, and handling day-to-day administrative tasks within the team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating moving parts, working with people, and building a career at the intersection of IT and Operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests, performing first-pass triage and routing of incoming tickets through Freshservice.
- Handle day-to-day helpdesk tasks including documentation, filing, expense support, and ticket follow-ups.
- Manage IT hardware inventory for peripherals (monitors, docks, etc.), iPads, and laptops (new and spare), coordinating with technicians as needed.
- Coordinate asset disposal and recycling processes, maintaining documented chain of custody.
- Manage printer operations including service calls, supplies, and lease tracking.
- Support AV systems at HQ Vancouver, assisting with outages, new room setups, and vendor coordination alongside technical staff.
- Participate in weekly IT ticket queue reviews, helping track ticket trends and inventory status.
- Support ISP-related coordination such as tracking service issues and liaising with providers.
- Assist with logistics and planning for the annual IT Summit.
- Maintain organized records and documentation related to IT assets and processes.
Required Education, Experience & Competencies
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in IT support, coordination, or administrative roles.
- Completion of a diploma, certificate, or relevant post-secondary education in business information technology management, or a related field.
- Comfortable working with IT ticketing systems (e.g., Freshservice, Jira) and following standard workflows.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a professional, service-oriented approach.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a team environment.
- Basic familiarity with common IT hardware (laptops, printers, AV equipment) is an asset.
- Experience with inventory tracking or asset management is an asset.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness and ability to travel to other office locations if needed.

Compensation The estimated base salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000 CAD per annum, however base pay will be commensurate with job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. BGC's compensation package also includes a discretionary bonus plan, training allowance, and comprehensive medical and dental plan.
