Pay Rate: $65,748 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $84,080
Type of Appointment: Term (1-year)
Normal Work Schedule: Part-time - 17.5 hours per week. Occasionally may be required to participate in events that take place during the evenings or weekends.

Purpose:
Under the general supervision of the Principal and reporting to the Director of Administration, the Academic Resource Coordinator supports the academic programs team within the Office of the Principal, Victoria College. This role is dedicated to enhancing the undergraduate student experience by supporting academic initiatives related to classroom instruction, student mentorship, research, co-curricular, and experiential learning opportunities.
The role facilitates and supports a variety of initiatives and academic programming offered through the Office of the Principal, such as experiential learning, course-based support, student mentorship, summer enrichment and micro-credentialing courses. The incumbent will help develop resources for documenting and reporting on programs and will work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to enhance program offerings and ensure smooth coordination. Program administration duties include coordinating logistics (communications, registration, budgeting, catering, space booking), gathering feedback and reporting on outcomes. The incumbent may also assist with other special projects and provide ad hoc support in the Principal’s Office as needed.
Qualifications Required:
Education
University degree required; graduate degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of relevant administrative or coordination experience supporting academic or co-curricular programs. Experience working on academic projects with faculty and students, conducting research in support of initiatives, and preparing reports. Familiarity with the University of Toronto’s academic policies, procedures and structure is an asset.
Other
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet, and database systems. . Experience with social media campaigns and promotional communication tools (e.g. Canva, MailChimp, Quercus). Strong attention to detail and project coordination and presentation skills. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment and diplomacy, and work both independently and collaboratively.
DUTIES
Experiential Learning Coordination
- Assist in promoting and supporting the development of experiential learning opportunities
- Conduct outreach to potential internship partners and help develop positive working relationships
- Support the development and delivery of existing and new internship opportunities in collaboration with internal and external partners
- Support recruitment and training of student mentors and other volunteer roles by creating and maintaining appropriate resources such as training manuals and policy and guideline documents
- Administer co-curricular initiatives and confirm co-curricular records on student transcripts
- Respond to student inquiries and provide appropriate guidance and information
- Liaise with the Office of the Principal and other university departments to support coordination of programs
Academic Programs Support
- Assist in planning and delivery of short-term programs (e.g., summer enrichment and micro-credentialing courses) as needed
- Assist with hiring processes (e.g., preparing job postings, tracking training attendance, preparing orientation, and collecting documentation)
- Support faculty and student participation at U of T and Vic events by responding to inquiries, representing the Office at events, and coordinating communication between participants and organizers
- Coordinate logistics for conferences and presentations, including those serving student populations
- Coordinate meetings, prepare materials, and track action on follow-up items
Ad Hoc
- Provide backup support for the Special Projects & Events Coordinator (Research) and contribute to occasional projects or tasks during peak periods as needed
