Job Description And Responsibilities Interpro Pipe & Steel is seeking a Safety Supervisor to join our team in Regina. This individual will work closely with management, frontline employees, and contractors to identify hazards, implement safety programs, and promote a culture of safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management and a proactive approach to risk prevention.
- Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Monitor and enforce compliance with provincial and federal safety standards
- Develop and implement safety training programs for all employees
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions
- Lead and participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analyses
- Prepare and maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
- Provide guidance and support to frontline employees and management on safety issues and best practices
- Collaborate with management to establish and update safety policies and procedures
- Respond to safety-related emergencies
- Organize and lead safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote safety awareness
- Manage contractor qualifications and communications
Requirements
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
- Occupational Health and Safety Practitioners Certificate, CRST, CRSP or a related designation (preferred)
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a safety management or supervisory role, ideally in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction setting
- In-depth knowledge of Provincial regulations and safety management systems
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to assess risks and implement effective control measures
- Proficient with safety software, reporting tools and Microsoft applications
- Ability to work rotating day/night shifts, including extended workdays, weekends, and statutory holidays
