Duties and Responsibilities Working under the Director, University Centre, the Facility Services Coordinator is responsible for the planning and delivery of quality services within the University Centre Facility Services unit including room reservation services, event setup and coordination, facility staff support, equipment rentals, front office support and information services, and ensuring client satisfaction within all service areas. To achieve a successful level of service delivery to clients, the Facility Services Coordinator will work closely with, and lead, a team of student staff members, full-time Logistics Handlers and the part-time Facility Services Assistant in planning, organizing resources, and completing requested services as required. The coordinator will be responsible for planning daily assignments for staff, training staff members, prioritizing duties, establishing detailed instructions for service delivery, scheduling part-time staff members, and engaging with clients on a regular basis. In addition, the coordinator will liaison with student groups and departmental/collage entities with the goal of building strategic partnerships, supporting campus-wide initiatives, and fostering positive relationships to support the goals of University Centre Services. The coordinator will work closely with the Technical Support Assistant (Analyst 3) and technology advancement team in enhancing the technical services offered through unit services and support other services including the static print washroom advertising program, facility maintenance management, and forthcoming Campus Information and Welcome Desk. Utilizing their skills and experience, the coordinator will effectively problem solve common situations with professionalism and tact, and achieve a superior level of successful outcomes in each unit service area. The Facility Services Coordinator will also work closely with the Manager, Food & Beverage, and Manager, Finance & Accounts to support the operational work of the food and beverage catering unit and financial management of client accounts. The Facility Services Coordinator will collaborate with the Director on the enhancement of the University Centre facility and operational services with the aim of creating progressive opportunities to better serve the university community.
Requirements
Requirements for this position include:
Two years graduation from college in accounting, business administration, facility operations, or related field; Several years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Management experience in facility operations and/or customer service; Demostrated knowledge in effective planning, service delivery integration, people management, and project implementation; Progressive management experience would be an asset; Exceptional interpersonal skills; Ability to organize and prioritize. Employee Type: Temporary Position Number: 10927683 Classification: P&M FT- Band 01 Professional/Managerial Salary Bands The target hiring salary for this position is minimum and up to 96% of midpoint for the salary grade. *Tentative evaluation; subject to committee review.
