Job Summary: Windsor Salt's Evaporation Facility in Windsor, Ontario, has openings for summer students for the upcoming Summer 2026 term. Successful individuals will provide operational support and vacation relief coverage at Windsor Salt.
Per the CBA: The Company will give preference in the hiring of students to dependents of employees of the Windsor Facility. In the event there is an insufficient number of students available from the Windsor Facility, the Employer will give preference to dependents of employees at the Ojibway Facility before hiring from outside the Company.
A student shall be defined as someone attending school full-time. Preference in hiring will be given to those students attending or about to attend a post-secondary education facility.
- To be considered for this position, candidates must provide evidence of full-time registration in an academic program WITH their application (e.g., school schedule, confirmation letter from an accredited university or college). Don't forget to include the name of your parent who works at Windsor Salt when you apply!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to applicable laws, codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications
- Safely operate automated equipment
- Monitor and troubleshoot equipment
- Effectively communicate with the production and maintenance teams
- Maintain a safe and clear work environment
- Contribute to operations by accomplishing other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Safety-conscious team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Compensation for this position is $26.39/hour. This posting is for temporary (summer) current vacancies. Windsor Salt does not require Canadian work experience and does not use artificial intelligence (AI) to screen or assess applicants.
