BILINGUAL CLAIMS CALL CENTER REPRESENTATIVE – TORONTO
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Bilingual Claims Call Center Representative to join our claims team. This role will work closely with our North America Claims team across Canada and the United States and reporting to the Vice President, Claims Specialty Insurance. Often the first point of contact for policyholders, claimants, brokers, and lawyers and plays a critical role in delivering a professional, empathetic, and efficient claims experience. The successful candidate will handle incoming phone calls, assist with problem resolution or direct callers to the appropriate point of contact, and support claims staff by organizing and filing documents within claims files.

Accountabilities include:
- Answer incoming phone calls from policyholders, claimants, brokers, lawyers and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.
- Respond to questions or direct those questions to point-of-contact individuals throughout the North America claims department related to claim status, general claims processes, and various lines of business. This role will require the person to either identify and resolve issues or route them to appropriate claims professionals.
- Accurately document call details and interactions in the appropriate claims management system.
- Assist with the intake of new claims by gathering required information and supporting documentation.
- File, organize, and maintain electronic and/or physical claims documents to ensure complete and accurate claim files.
- Support claims team members with administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Fluently bilingual, both spoken and written in French and English required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education is a plus.
- Previous call center, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
- Experience in insurance or claims handling is an asset but not required.
- Excellent communication, verbal, and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Comfortable working with multiple systems and basic office software.
Compensation:
- The expected compensation in this position is within the range of $55,000 - $65,000
