The Financial Controller is responsible for accounting activities, ensures tax compliance, and prepares the consolidated monthly financial statements of the legal entity related to Pomerleau’s major projects. The role also involves coordinating the monthly reporting of all projects within the Major Projects division, as well as monitoring project budgets and corporate overhead costs.
What you will do :
- Prepare and present consolidated financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement);
- Oversee bookkeeping activities and invoice payments;
- Supervise internal financial controls and accounting processes, and ensure compliance with tax obligations;
- Coordinate the financial planning and budgeting process and perform related analyses;
- Analyze financial data related to projects;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial management processes;
- Participate in the development and enhancement of financial systems;
- Provide support to financial teams assigned to projects;
Etc.
This role could be for you if you have :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management, or Business Administration;
CPA designation;
- 10 years of relevant experience;
- Advanced proficiency in both French and English;
- Knowledge of SAP ERP is considered an asset;
- Experience in implementing an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is an asset;
- Positive leader with the ability to mobilize and engage teams;
- Strong knowledge of accounting and taxation
