Assistant Field Coordinator/Co-op Student (Construction) Posting Deadline November 14, 2025 TERM 8 Month Term Preferred Start date January 2026 Weekly hours 40 As an Assistant Field Coordinator (Co-op) , you will have the opportunity to support our Project Managers & Superintendents in the delivery of our exciting ICI (Buildings) projects. The focus of your role will be to maintain contract documentation, support estimating and assisting with the preparation of budgets and schedules. We work on a variety of types of contracts such as Design Build, Plan and Spec and Construction Management and you would gain experience on all of these.
The purpose of the Assistant Field Coordinator in supporting the project team is to ensure that a profit is made on the project, that the work is performed as per the contract documents, that the project is completed with outstanding quality, and that the job-site is a safe workplace. In doing so, you will be involved in
- Updating and maintaining purchase order logs, shop drawing and submittal logs, and plan logs.
- Gaining an understanding of how to select suppliers and sub-trades and obtaining quotations.
- Assisting with and/or clarifying scope of work with sub-trades and suppliers.
- Ensuring there is a continuous focus on site safety in accordance with regulatory requirements as well as our Corporate Health and Safety Policy.
- Attending site meetings and assisting in the completion of project deficiencies.
- Tracking and keeping inventory of supplies to ensure they arrive on schedule and are tracked.
- Assisting the site superintendent with other duties as needed.
To be considered for this role you will have
- A full-time student enrolled in a related post-secondary program of study.
- Recent graduate of a University Degree in Civil Engineering, College Diploma in Architectural Technology, Construction Management or Civil Engineering Technology program.
- Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel would be an asset
- Valid drivers license and vehicle is required to get to site.
Pay Rate $21-$26 / hour, based on applicable education and experience.
