We are excited to announce we are looking for a P&O Coordinator (12-month contract) to join our rapidly growing company.

Here's the Scoop – Summary

Join a globally respected brand as a key contributor to our People & Organization team.

This one-year temporary role offers hands-on experience in HR operations, recruitment, and employee engagement at our state-of-the-art facility in Acheson, Alberta.

Ideal for early-career HR professionals looking to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position will be on a fully on-site schedule.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Be a highly trusted, visible, and accessible P&O professional within our Canadian operations and our global P&O team.
  • Support hourly recruitment efforts by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and assisting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a welcoming experience.
  • Assist with associate lifecycle documentation, including tracking probationary periods, team changes, step changes, transfers, promotions, etc.
  • Processing and tracking Associate leaves of absence, including vacation, sick leave, extended vacation, job-protected leaves, short term disability leaves, etc.
  • Coordinating company events, recognition programs, team-building activities and initiatives like 40 Days of Impact.
  • Supporting associate feedback mechanisms (townhalls, associate surveys, front-line chats).
  • Supporting drive Associate engagement with impact plans and hosting quarterly roundtable or frontline discussions to foster team alignment and drive results.
  • Monitor Canadian Operations Human Resources inbox.
  • Acting as a point of contact for People & Organization related inquiries, assisting in conflict resolution and supporting internal communications to promote company culture and values.
  • Maintain different trackers like monthly HR Ops tracker, recruitment tracker, discipline tracker, roster, etc.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Human Resources/Business Administration/related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year of HR experience, ideally in recruitment or operations.
  • Flexibility to work across different shifts, including nights (only on a need basis)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat and familiarity with HRIS software such as UKG and Workday is good to have.
  • Willingness to work in the office full-time from 9 am to 5:30 pm.
