Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) based in Toronto, ON, with flexibility for some remote work. The COO will oversee daily operations, implement strategic initiatives, and lead organizational planning to support Scott Mission's mission-driven goals. Key responsibilities include managing financial and operational activities, developing business plans, and ensuring effective resource allocation. The COO will collaborate with leadership teams to maintain excellence in service delivery and align operations with the organization’s core values and objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience in Business Planning and creating strategic frameworks to drive organizational growth
- Strong expertise in Operations Management, ensuring the efficient functioning of teams and resources
- Proficiency in Analytical Skills to assess performance metrics and improve processes
- Knowledge of Finance and Budgeting to oversee financial planning and ensure fiscal responsibility
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is an asset
- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred

The mission is based in downtown Toronto and aims to offer practical, emotional, and spiritual support for thousands of people each year.Morris Zeidman, an ordained Presbyterian minister who was born in Częstochowa, Poland and converted to Christianity from Judaism, founded The Scott Mission with his wife Anne in 1941.
