We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to be part of the evolution and enhancement of our Oracle E-Business Suite modules and Business Intelligence teams. The ideal candidate would have experience as a Business Systems Analyst, a successful history of effectively transforming business systems, and advanced technical skills with Oracle BI products and Projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other teams on additional system support that is needed.
  • Engage with Management, Business Analysts, and technical resources to analyze business processes, collect requirements, and determine system needs.
  • Participate in designing and building/configuring the system to meet requirements.
  • Conduct workshops to elicit requirements.
  • Develop system designs and other project deliverables using Confluence or Microsoft Office tools.
  • Assist with technology assessment and selection.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop system practice documents.
  • Efficiently execute all administrative tasks, including document preparation, employee correspondence, expense reporting, documentation compliance, and record maintenance.
  • Provide progress summaries to the IBA management team of project and support efforts using internal processes and tools.
  • Assist with reporting requirements.
  • Mentor junior BSAs and lead project teams.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making to align with business goals.
  • Present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Manage requirements and business scenarios mapping to technical scenarios on large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.

Your Capabilities & Credentials

  • Experience in any of the following domains: Finance, Human Resources, Projects, Marketing or Business Intelligence.
  • Experience working in agile teams.
  • Effective team player and collaborator.
  • Knowledge and experience meeting requirements of ITIL, ISO 27001, GDPR would be an asset.
  • Strong Business Analysis and System Analysis skills and abilities.
  • Skilled in database systems, data modeling, and SQL, with experience managing and optimizing data structures to support business operations.
  • Proficient in analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., Oracle OAC, OBIEE, Power BI)
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple priorities.
  • Able to confidently and discreetly work with confidential information.
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to learn new technology to support role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Reporting Structure

  • The Business Systems Analyst will report to the Manager of Application Architecture.

Team Name

  • The Business Systems Analyst will be part of the Application Architecture Team.

Post-secondary degree: Ideally related to Information Technology or Management Information Systems.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related position.

Nice to have: Certification in Business System Analysis or similar.

Pay Range

  • Locations Outside of Lower Mainland - BC - Min Salary $ 79,700.00 - Max Salary $ 115,500.00
  • Locations in Lower Mainland - BC - Min Salary $ 84,500.00 - Max Salary $ 122,400.00

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
