Human Resources Internship - 3 Positions Available (Unpaid)

o Organizational Development/Human Resources Business Partners

o Workplace Relations

o Compensation & Benefits/Occupational Health

We are seeking three enthusiastic and motivated students to join our Human Resources team for an unpaid internship opportunity. The roles offer valuable, hands-on experience in a dynamic hospital environment, working alongside experienced HR professionals. Successful candidates will gain practical skills and insight into the field of human resources, with the opportunity to focus in the areas of Organizational Development, Workplace Relations, Compensation & Benefits and Occupational Health.

Key Responsibilities (may vary depending on the stream)

o Assist with department projects and initiatives

o Assist with research, drafting, and updating HR policies and procedures or documentation

o Support the coordination of initiatives and programs

o Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and databases

o Participate in HR team meetings and provide administrative support as needed

o Assist with scheduling and coordination of training sessions or information sessions

o Perform other duties as assigned by the HR team

Qualifications

o Working towards Community College diploma specializing in Human Resources

o Strong attention to detail and organization skills

o Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft applications

o Evidence of effective interpersonal, communication, judgment and decision-making skills

o Flexible, self-directed, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision

o Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to the vision and mission of Niagara Health
