Job Description
We are seeking a self-motivated, customer focused, team-oriented Technologist/Engineer for Application Specialist position. Successful candidate will work on Triconex, Modicon PLC and Foxboro DCS systems to design, program, integrate, test and commission SIS, BMS and DCS Systems.
What will you do?
- Understanding of PLC and DCS control systems.
- Basic knowledge in IEC 61508, 61511 and CSA/CEC.
- Design, program, and commission Triconex and Modicon based SIS and BMS systems.
- Design and program Wonderware Intouch based HMI.
- Provide answers to customer inquiries concerning Triconex software and applications.
- Interpret customer technical specifications and generate strategies for implementation in production.
- Assists customers in defining detailed application, system, and hardware requirements.
- Lead and participate in customer acceptance tests.
- Work from process and instrumentation drawings to design and implement applications in SIS system to meet requirements.
- Prepare engineering documents. (Design documents, User Guide, Test documents).
- Assist with on-site engineering, start-up, and application commissioning.
- Assist in reporting the potential risks and/or opportunities on customer technical needs.
- Communicate status, issues, and solutions internally to Lead Engineer and Project Manager.
May require up to 50% travelling within Canada for commissioning support.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
or
Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technology
Technical Background:
Must have a solid foundation in technical education
A genuine passion for engineering is essential for success in this role
Experience Level:
