About Us
RECHO AI Inc. is a Montreal-based deep-tech startup transforming edge computing with its Software Platform and proprietary Reservoir Processing Unit (RPU) technology. By combining MEMS transducer dynamics and reservoir computing, we enable ultra-efficient edge AI that processes time-series signals directly at the sensor. Our technology brings intelligence to places where traditional cloud-based or high-power AI cannot operate — from remote or power-limited environments to large-scale IoT deployments.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Technical Lead to lead innovation at the intersection of AI architectures and hardware sensing. You’ll help shape RECHO AI’s technology roadmap, bridging AI model design, analog and low-power computing, and MEMS-based sensor systems. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation in either AI architectures (e.g., on-device/edge learning, analog computing, AI chips) or audio/MEMS systems, paired with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to communicate across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the development of AI and embedded intelligence directly on MEMS-based sensors and low-power devices
- Collaborate with the leadership team to define and execute the technology strategy and product roadmap
- Design and prototype novel architectures for in-sensor computing, edge AI, and time-series signal processing
- Evaluate and integrate analog and neuromorphic computing concepts for real-time, energy-efficient inference
- Lead collaborations with partners in the MEMS, IoT, and AI hardware ecosystems
- Contribute to customer engagements, technical discussions, and fundraising through clear, strategic communication
Qualifications
- Deep technical expertise in either AI architectures or MEMS/audio/sensing systems
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Analog computing, low-power or on-sensor AI
- Reservoir computing, neuromorphic design, or edge inference
- Signal processing for audio or time-series data
- Proven ability to work in a fast-moving startup environment with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Curiosity, creativity, and a drive to explore unconventional technical solutions
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field preferred — or equivalent experience
Why Join Us
- Help redefine what’s possible in edge intelligence and AI hardware
- Work with cutting-edge IP and researchers at the forefront of reservoir computing
- Collaborate with industry partners in IoT, MEMS, and advanced manufacturing
- Be part of a collaborative and ambitious team shaping the next generation of intelligent sensing
- Competitive compensation with equity participation and performance-based incentives
