We are looking for a Planning Analytics Operations Planner who will be responsible for detailed analytics and business insights of Delivery and Network Analytics, providing subject matter expertise in driving the performance of key business metrics.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

  • Act as subject matter expert responsible for detailed analysis and reporting of the efficiency and effectiveness of the Voila delivery network, providing insights which drive better performance;
  • Provide operational teams with insight, analysis, guidance and up to date accurate assumptions and KPIs enabling them to plan and manage the operation effectively through regular reporting and deep dives;
  • Serve as key contributor to growth of key metrics, including deliveries per route, delivery on-time, balancing against key customer experience metrics;
  • Develop a deep understanding of DPV drivers, benchmarks, and how projections are impacted by changes in assumptions;
  • Provide detailed and complex analysis to assist with data driven recommendations for efficiency maximization;
  • Create detailed analysis of pre versus post impacts of service changes or expansion in the delivery network, documentation of lessons learned to inform future recommendations and understand trade-offs;
  • Perform periodic validation of DPV assumptions against OSP inputs and outputs, advise of potential performance improvements in OSP configuration;
  • Drive scenario building for network optimization as required to assist with Operational Planning’s labour scenarios;
  • Monitor and track slot availability trends in the network, highlight areas of concern and opportunity;
  • Provide analytical support to Team Lead, Planning Analytics, and Director, Finance Strategy & Planning;
  • Communicate closely and work collaboratively with delivery, shunting, CFC, HR, replenishment and planning, ownership of cross-functional meetings;
  • Identify opportunities to automate or improve internal processes for the Planning Analytics team;
  • Draw insights from both structured and unstructured data;
  • Prepare various ad-hoc reporting requests and analytical reports;
  • Provide excellent level of customer service to all levels of the business.

What you have to offer:

  • Minimum of 2+ years directly related work experience and a University degree in Commerce, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or Engineering Degree or 4 years of related experience
  • Must have advanced SQL
  • An understanding of Python Programming
  • Advanced level Excel and Tableau or Power BI experience with business intelligence tools
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform would be considered an asset
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and clarity of thought, significant data analysis abilities
  • Previous planning experience desired, including but not limited labour/forecasting, integrated planning experience, planning for distribution inbound/outbound
