Job Posting: Associate Finance Manager – Payroll & Western Store Operations
Reporting to: Senior Finance Manager
We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Associate Finance Manager to support payroll across Canadian locations and support Western Region Store Operations. This role is critical in driving financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Own financial oversight of payroll for all Canadian stores.
- Partner with Workforce Operations to plan, forecast, and analyse payroll variances. Maintain and enhance reporting, including deep dives into sales, transactions, wage and hours.
- Facilitate Monthly Payroll Meetings, presenting to cross-functional leaders to get their alignment, highlight risks and opportunities, and drive action plans to meet targets.
- Deliver actionable analytics to Westerns District Managers and Store Leaders, identifying performance outliers and recommending corrective actions.
- Support planning and forecasting of store operating expenses.
- Prepare materials for Quarterly Business Reviews and support leadership presentations.
- Deliver value-added financial analysis to guide strategic planning.
- Recommend and implement process improvements.
- Lead special projects and ad-hoc assignments.
- Share and promote best practices across the finance team.
Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years of Financial Analyst/Financial business partner experience
- A Bachelors’, CPA, or a Masters’ degree in Finance or Business.
- Learning mindset and willingness to mentor new and senior analysts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A Demonstrated expertise in business analysis and financial modeling
- Ability to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, to adapt quickly and to manage changing priorities and deadlines
- Self-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development
- A Flexible attitude and approach to business solutions.

- Comfortable presenting, including to Senior Leadership
