Overview

The main purpose of the job is to support and assist the responsible manager to maintain a safe and clean environment. The key role would be to upkeep the cleanliness of the rooms to a high standard.

Responsibilities

Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments. Fill cart with supplies and transport cart to assigned area. Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering. Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms. Replace/remove dirty linens and towels with clean items. Make beds and fold towels. Remove trash and empty all waste bins. Clean the bathroom and toilet. Check that all applicants are present and in working order. Straighten desk items, furniture and appliances. Dust, polish and remove marks. Vacuum rooms and hallway. Report anything in need of repair or replacement to the appropriate person. Keep linen room and serviced areas clean and tidy at all time and keep cleaning materials safely stored. Maintain polite and good communication with coworkers and customers at all times. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures. To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace. Turn in all lost and found items.

All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Room Attendant experience is preferred. Customer Service Skills: Room Attendants need proper customer service skills. Able to work as a part of a team. Able to work with little supervision. Ability to work calmly under pressure.

Must be organized and detail oriented

Must have working knowledge of the English language (verbal, written, reading) Must have working knowledge of the English language (verbal, written, reading) Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities : Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling. Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. Exposure to cleaning chemicals.

The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays.
