Accounting Analyst
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Analyst for future opportunities with our clients. Typically, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries, performing month-end and quarterly sub-ledger closes, and reconciling general ledger and bank accounts. You will manage accounts receivable and cost recovery functions, prepare payment requisitions, and support audit processes and ministry-mandated financial reporting. The role also includes maintaining accurate financial records for client-related accounts, safeguarding financial documentation and inventory, and contributing to process improvements across the department.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Actively pursuing a professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA) at intermediate level.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, continuously improving environment.
