What will you do?

In this role, you are responsible to prepare professional quotations for industrial projects, manage the end-to -end proposal process including marketing, sales, engineering, legal, finance and services to deliver high quality technical and commercial proposals. You will also have the opportunity to solve complex, challenging technical issues and collaborate with diverse teams to create solutions that support new streams of revenue.

  • Produce complete, accurate and on time proposal based on plans and specifications, managing changes throughout bid proposal lifecycle
  • Proactively quote alternatives to better position Siemens
  • Customer communication and support including price and product feedback on both commercial and technical issues.
  • Close orders using selling skills and technical expertise.
  • Coordinates with third party providers / partners and negotiate contractual requirements for third party providers, based on individual project needs
  • Supports Siemens internal bid approval process including legal reviews, NDA's, EBA, etc, providing support for PM Siemens methodology
  • Provide risk analysis and mitigation for the bid proposal, associated with possible solutions or recommendations.
  • Co-ordinate for bid submission with sales, plants, distributors and cross business units
  • Evaluate incoming bid for Go/No Go decision based on technical requirements
  • Provide technical assistance and attend project review meetings with sales and customers.
  • Application of engineering theory to offer the ultimate solution to the customer.
  • Work as a liaison to consulting company to clarify projects and validate/endorse Siemens proposed technical solution.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineer or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in the industrial / electrical field
  • Technical experience in Power Distribution products and solutions
  • Experience with proposals for complex solutions (systems, services, turnkey project) in a regulated environment like public infrastructure.
  • Experience with bidding complex solutions that require customization to meet customer requirements.
  • Ability to read specifications and engineering single line schematics and drawings
  • Experienced in handling large industrial projects such as Hospitals, Data Centers
  • Self-managing and highly motivated to drive sales growth
  • Ability to do technical proposals with engineering solution
  • Highly self-motivated, focused, flexible, and adaptable
  • Passion for excellence and continuous learning
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.
