About the role
Job Description:
On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a PeopleSoft Developer whose work will include technical analysis, developing technical design specifications, and developing custom objects, including reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements. The candidate will be directly responsible for designing, coding, and testing programs within their specific application area, including the integration with other application areas or external systems. This requires working closely with internal staff and external vendors to determine the needs of the project to deliver the framework for a stable, high-performing system.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Project team, and extended ERP team of developers, Business Analysts, and ERP Architects to
o Elaborate system requirements for implementing the new interfaces, and for the successful integration to existing modules
o Identify and develop system enhancements, or business process improvements, to adapt PeopleSoft modules to the target state
o Develop technical specifications for these system enhancements and integrations.
o Identify and recommend unit and system testing plans for the enhancements
o Ensure that all project deliverables are documented, approved and tracked to Project needs
• Implement customisations, including reports, integrations, conversions, and user interface enhancements, identified above
o Unit test according to the documented plans
o Provide the release notes and configurations for all changes
• Package and migrate changes
• Ensure all custom objects are developed, packaged and migrated according to the University Application Development Standards
• Provide technical expertise in implementing, enhancing, and supporting the PeopleSoft HCM Enterprise systems
• Provide functional and technical support to identify and resolve problems.
• Liaise with Oracle and other vendors when reporting and managing problems with delivered functionality
• Ensure delays and changes to the build schedules are identified as early as possible and communicated to the Lead Application Architect
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 8-10 years of PeopleSoft Application Development experience.
o Experience with current versions ( eg 8.60+ ) and modern PeopleTools features such as Update Manager, Data Migration Workbench and Fluid preferred
• Undergraduate Degree in Computing Science or recognized technical certification
• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM, specifically Benefits
• Proficient in project management, requirements analysis, technical design, development, and testing techniques and tools.
• Highly professional team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with business and IT professionals at all levels
• Experience working collaboratively with other developers, technical analysts, business, and operational staff.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
• Well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of the Oracle PeopleSoft Architecture from both a technical and functional perspective.
