Your Role
As a Technical Project Coordinator at Mecademic, you will report directly to the VP of R&D. You'll be the pillar of our R&D project management, while also improving our processes to gain fluidity and efficiency. This position is ideal for someone who loves to organize chaos and build solid foundations from scratch.
Your Main Responsibilities
Strategic Implementation and Continuous Improvement:
- Design and implement project management processes, methodologies, and tools adapted to the R&D technical environment.
- Establish a rigorous work discipline to ensure traceability and constant alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develop and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project performance and fuel a process of continuous improvement.
- Act as a change agent by guiding the adoption of new practices within the teams.
Operational Coordination and Project Management:
- Lead the complete project lifecycle, from planning to delivery, ensuring timely deliverables and the achievement of strategic goals.
- Rigorously monitor projects by proactively managing costs and schedules.
- Ensure the quality and compliance of deliverables, while proactively anticipating and managing risks to minimize obstacles.
- Maintain project agility to allow for quick adjustments to changes in priorities or constraints.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the engineering, product, and operations teams, acting as a main point of contact for work organization.
- Be a driver of collaboration by fostering transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within teams.
- Resolve roadblocks to maintain project progress.
Your Profile
You hold a higher degree in computer science or electrical engineering and have confirmed experience (+ 5 years) in technical project management, ideally in an industrial or technological context.
You are bilingual in French and English to write documentation and collaborate with teams in both languages.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project management tools.
- Knowledge of agile or hybrid methodologies.
- Solid understanding of technical concepts to communicate effectively with teams.
Interpersonal Qualities:
- Leadership and excellent communication skills to mobilize and influence teams.
- Organization and rigor to manage the planning and monitoring of a multitude of projects.
- Proactivity and agility to anticipate and solve problems and quickly adapt to changes.
Job Conditions
Full-time position (40h/week) to be filled as soon as possible at our site located at 1300, rue St-Patrick, Montreal, QC.
Compensation based on profile and experience.
Must be authorized to work in Canada (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit).
