About the role
Position Overview
The College is looking for a qualified sales intern to assist in various stages of the sales funnel, including creating awareness of current and new programs, generating leads, and leads follow up. The ideal intern will gain hands-on experience working on current, challenging, and meaningful projects with guidance from the Digital Marketing team.
Reporting Relationship
Reports to the Digital Marketing Manager
Employment Type
Part-time volunteer opportunity (unpaid)
Work Week
This position requires the employee to work a flexible 1-3 hours per week, to meet the needs of the position. However, occasional evenings and weekends are included in the work week.
Location
This position will be primarily located in the Burnaby campus currently the position requires working virtually from home.
Education & Experience Requirements
Enrolled at Alexander College or graduated from Alexander College. Preference will be given to those who have experience in sales an/or customer service. ctive on social media and understands various department and their functions at the College. Ability to communicate in multiple languages will be an asset in this position.
Qualifications
Commitment to work for at least 1 semester (3 months)
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. Ability to organize, prioritize, multitask, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Ability to maintain professionalism and cordiality when working with others. Strong ability to take initiative and complete tasks. Personal qualities of integrity, honesty, openness, flexibility, and good judgment.
Specific Responsibilities
Interact with student leads within set timeframe and promote studying at the College Set-up appointments for Enrolment Officers Learn and apply sales techniques Maintain sales records
