Grade**:** SGEU.08.
The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement, Building Services, Infrastructure Support area in Saskatoon requires a competent and capable Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic to provide various minor maintenance and scheduled maintenance on refrigeration Heating, Venting, Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems throughout the province.
Under the general direction of your supervisor, you will utilize your skills, knowledge and abilities gained through your Journeyperson Refrigeration technical training and on-the-job experience. You will ensure facilities and equipment are safe and meet operating standards. In addition, you will respond to client complaints and inquiries with the aid of your supervisor.
You will be able to work independently or as part of a team, ensuring customer needs and project assignments are completed in a timely, safe and efficient manner.
As the successful candidate, you know the theories, principles, and practices related to the refrigeration trade and knowledge of occupational safety standards supplemented with several years of related trade experience. To qualify for this position, you must possess and be able to produce a valid Journeyperson Refrigeration Certificate and valid Class 5 driver's license.
Preference will be given to those who carry a domestic or commercial gas license.
Travel will be required throughout the province 50% of the time.
