Position Overview:
The Senior Business Solutions Consultant is a key member of the CSD Centralized Support team accomplishing complex business objectives by supporting operational initiatives , processes and problem resolution. This position requires strong fund accounting knowledge, technical skills, attention to detail, positive professional attitude, and ability to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assists and liaises with Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting & Tax teams in support of business initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Assists and liaises with CPO Business Analysts and Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle providing business & system expertise and testing support.
- Supports external client deliverables for assigned projects within the project plan schedule.
- Develops business solutions by providing subject matter expertise to support documentation of requirements in a work-flowchart and diagram; studies system capabilities; analyzes alternative solutions.
- Logs, tracks and addresses all concerns/problems through maintaining, controlling and updating documents relevant to the initiative.
- Monitors progress against project deliverables, updating project plans to reflect changes while managing and tracking change requests throughout the project life cycle, recommending corrective actions or escalating unresolved issues.
- Provides reference for operations by writing documentation; providing support and assistance.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Provides recommendations related to continuous improvement while focusing on risk management
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education with focus on accounting, finance and business
- 5-7 years progressive experience in fund accounting
- Solid understanding of investment fund accounting, the custody business, and the securities industry
- Project management and process improvement skills
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work within tight deadlines
- Demonstrated problem solving skills supporting the decision-making process
- Strong verbal and written communication, together with sound interpersonal skills

The salary band for this position ranges between $84,000 - $126,000.
