About the role
The Recovery Administrator is responsible for managing all aspects of the recovery process within the Claims department. This includes preparing and submitting recovery packages to government health insurance plans (GHIP) and other insurers, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up to maximize recovery outcomes. The role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and collaboration with Claims Examiners and external stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Review recovery opportunities to determine if other insurance is available for coordination. Collect and organize all documentation required for recovery submissions.
- Contact clients to collect any missing information or documents.
- Create, review, and submit recovery packages to our insurers, GHIP, and other insurers.
- Follow up on submitted packages.
- Perform data entry into internal systems to support tracking and reporting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of recovery activity.
- Set and maintain accurate recovery reserves.
- Assist in activities related to claim processing, including inbound and outbound communication with internal stakeholders, claimants, and third parties.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by performing regular data clean-up tasks.
- Aid in the processing of bills related to claims, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Organize, manage, and maintain electronic and physical documents.
- Handle incoming and outgoing emails and faxes, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
The skills you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional post-secondary education, administrative training, or certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in a similar administrative role, preferably within the insurance or travel industry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with data entry software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
