Part-Time Bus Driver
About the role
St. James Catholic School is located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. The school enrolls approximately 180 students from Kindergarten to Grade Seven. For the 2026 - 2027 school year, St. James School is seeking a part-time bus driver to serve the transportation needs of this K-7 school facility. This weekday position shall commence September 8th, 2026 until June 30th, 2027. The incumbent is responsible for safely transporting students over assigned routes plus occasional field trips/ class outings; Minimum 2 hours day 2 days a week) and for reporting any mechanical failures or accidents.
Preference will be given to candidates who:
- share in the Catholic faith and actively participate in the life of their parish
- are experienced working in school transportation
- possess a Class 2 BC driver's license with an Air Brake endorsement
- possess a safe driving record
- possess knowledge of highway and school bus regulations
- contribute to a welcoming, safe environment
- build trust and positive relations with all shareholders
- demonstrate a strong work ethic
