Job Title: Weekend Cleaner – Apartment Building (Markham)
Location: Markham, ON
Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (8 hours per week)
Pay Rate: $18 per hour
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Weekend Cleaner to join our team at an apartment building in Markham. The cleaner will be responsible for ensuring all common areas of the property are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize common areas including lobby, hallways, elevators, and stairwells.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as required.
- Clean and disinfect washrooms and restock supplies.
- Wipe down high-touch surfaces (door handles, railings, etc.)
- Empty garbage and recycling bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Spot clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to management. Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored properly.
Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work independently and follow a set schedule.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Physically able to perform repetitive tasks (bending, lifting, standing, etc.)
- Reliable and punctual.
