Role: TSYS QA Lead – End‑to‑End Testing

Contract: 6 month to start (extension highly likely)

Location: Hybrid – Downtown Toronto (on‑site every Tuesday)

Purpose of Job

  • The TSYS QA Lead will own and deliver end‑to‑end quality assurance for complex Credit Card and Payments initiatives built on the TSYS platform. This role requires a strong mix of TSYS product expertise, hands‑on functional QA, automation leadership, vendor coordination, and experience delivering large‑scale credit card product launches.
  • This is not a UAT Lead role. It is a hands‑on, technical TSYS QA leadership role responsible for planning, execution, defect management, and final QA sign‑off across multiple integrated systems (10+ applications).

Key Responsibilities TSYS End‑to‑End QA Leadership

  • Own end‑to‑end testing for TSYS‑centric initiatives, including planning, scope definition, execution, risk assessment, and sign‑off.
  • Lead QA across 10+ integrated systems touching TSYS (digital onboarding, servicing, payments, APIs, statements, card fulfillment, etc.).
  • Identify E2E test scope based on architecture, data flows, and TSYS functional impacts.
  • Resolve test environment gaps, data issues, and TSYS batch‑cycle constraints.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end QA lifecycle: test plan → test cases → data prep → execution → defect triage → reporting.

TSYS Domain Expertise

  • Experience supporting or leading credit card product launches on TSYS.

  • Hands-on experience with:

  • Pricing & interest changes (APR, fee updates, disclosure changes).

  • Fee modifications, product parameter updates, and BIN configuration.

  • Payments & settlement flows including postings, reversals, and chargebacks.

  • Card generation, plastics, embossing, account opening flows.

  • Statements, letters & regulatory communications generated by TSYS.

  • Digital Wallet / Tokenization (Apple Pay, Google Pay, provisioning, lifecycle events).

  • TRIAD risk/collections strategy experience (working knowledge).

TSYS Automation Leadership

  • Strong hands-on background in automation frameworks (API + UI).
  • Ability to define automation strategy for TSYS projects, including regression coverage and reusable test assets.
  • Lead automation engineers to align TSYS functionality with automated test suite coverage.
  • Experience validating TSYS batch jobs and downstream integrations using automated scripts (nice-to-have but preferred).

Test Planning & Execution

  • Create comprehensive test plans, scenarios, data sets, and traceability matrices.
  • Perform hands-on functional testing where required.
  • Validate TSYS configuration setups, pricing logic, statement/letter outputs, and digital wallet behaviors.
  • Ensure alignment with disclosure team, pricing teams, payments teams, and fulfillment stakeholders.

Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement

  • Work closely with:

  • Business stakeholders (Credit Cards, Pricing, Risk, Digital).

  • TSYS vendor teams for validation, defect analysis, and implementation readiness.

  • External technology vendors supporting wallet/tokenization, cards, and statements.

  • Provide clear communication of risks, defect statuses, and readiness for implementation.

Quality Governance & Defect Management

  • Manage full defect lifecycle: logging, triaging, prioritization, retesting, and closure.
  • Provide traceability from requirements → TSYS configuration → QA outcomes.
  • Support audit/regulatory inquiries related to pricing, fees, disclosures, or cardholder communication.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years TSYS experience in Credit Card & Payments domain.

  • 5+ years leading E2E QA across 10+ integrated systems.

  • Proven experience launching new credit card products or major TSYS enhancements.

  • Strong understanding of:

  • TSYS card lifecycle (origination → servicing → payments → collections).

  • Pricing, fees, APR updates, disclosures, communication rules.

  • TSYS batch cycles, settlement flows, and posting logic.

  • Card generation, statements, and notifications.

  • Digital Wallet + Tokenization flows.

  • TRIAD strategy impacts (working-level familiarity).

  • Hands-on API testing experience (Postman).

  • Strong SQL for validating data across TSYS + downstream applications.

  • Experience with ALM, JIRA, Confluence.

  • Excellent communication and ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have

  • TSYS automation frameworks or custom automation solutions.
  • CI/CD exposure for automated regression execution.
  • Exposure to credit decisioning platforms or TSYS enhancements.
