As a member of the Precision Health Platform engineering organization, you will build modular, composable, and interoperable platform components, including storage and processing of precision health data, and other product framework components (auth) across Verily products.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the development team to design, develop, and deliver new software features across the Verily tech stack.
- Come up with ideas to technical design problems, compare options, and propose solutions.
- Develop using industry-standard tools including GitHub, Google Cloud, Go, React, Docker, and Terraform to name a few.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in software engineering
- Demonstrated experience with Go
- At least 5 years experience as a software engineer in an industry setting
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively
- Expertise in building software and systems on any of: GCP, AWS or Azure (GCP preferred)
- Clear written communication, especially in design and architecture documents
Preferred Qualifications
- Education or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR
- Data pipeline experience
- Kubernetes experience
- Experience with terraform, BigQuery (or similar)
