About the role
Based in Toronto, this compliance role oversees the daily operations of the GWAM and GA Investments Code of Ethics Program, supporting regulated entities across Global Wealth & Asset Management (GWAM) and General Account Investments (GA). The position supports various Employee Conflict of Interest Programs such as Gifts and Entertainment, Outside Business Affiliations, Political Contributions, and Personal Trading.
The successful candidate will provide dedicated, real-time expertise and support to our current Access Person population globally and provide hands-on support for the Program’s improvement projects and initiatives. The position reports directly to the Manager Compliance, and will collaborate closely with the team in Toronto, the offshore team in Manila, and Senior Director in Boston
Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations: Provide day-to-day compliance support, address inquiries from our Access Persons related to the GWAM/GA Investments Code of Ethics via all means of delivery (Code of Ethics shared email inbox, email, Teams)
- Real-time monitoring of the Code of Ethics administrative system (StarCompliance) activities and processes
- Support monitoring of APs personal trading activity and review for compliance with the Code’s personal trading policies.
- Support review of daily trade exceptions
- Review and designate employees as Access Persons (APs) and provide them with training
- Use corporate technology to automate and enhance work processes
- Provide ad hoc analysis and project management support when needed
Required Qualifications:

2+ years of financial services experience

Experience with Excel, intermediate level and above

Exceptional communication abilities

Advanced analytical skills and sound judgment, with the ability to manage sensitive information and navigate complex cases effectively

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, or similar tools.
- Experience working with trade surveillance, personal trading controls, or related monitoring systems (Bloomberg, StarCompliance, Aladdin, or similar platforms)
- Experience in ethics, compliance, risk management, internal audit, or related discipline.

Salary range is expected to be between
$55,125.00 CAD - $91,875.00 CAD
Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
