Job Description
Accounting Clerk
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Accounting Clerk to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, professional environment and is comfortable handling complex and confidential financial and administrative responsibilities.
The successful candidate will work independently, anticipate operational needs, resolve issues efficiently, and communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external contacts. Keeping the team informed on ongoing tasks and deadlines is essential to success in this role.

What You Will Be Doing
- Provide professional, courteous service at all times, supporting both internal teams and guests
- Manage billing for Weddings, Groups, and Tours, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing
- Maintain and reconcile advanced deposits, including application and refunds
- Process Accounts Receivable, apply payments to ledgers, ensure accurate general ledger coding, and complete daily closings
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries via email and phone
- Support accounting operations including accounts payable, cost control, cash management, and client billing as required
- Assist with month-end procedures, including inter-company billings and reconciliation support
- Adhere to all departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations
Qualifications
Your Experience and Skills
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business (certificate or diploma preferred)
- Previous office or accounting experience required; hotel or front-office experience is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with computer applications used in administrative and accounting functions
- Fluency in English (written, verbal, and comprehension); additional languages are an asset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of discretion when handling confidential information
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
- Professional presentation and communication skills
- Highly reliable, responsible, and trustworthy
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (employer unable to assist with work authorization)
