About the role

A career as a Senior Trading Support Analyst in the Capital Markets Operations team means using your expertise to support the evolution and execution of the Bank’s Capital Markets and Wealth Management business strategy. This role allows you to make a concrete impact through your analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate across multiple business units within the financial markets.

You can work from our Calgary, Toronto or Montreal office, whichever is closest to you.

Your role

  • Support equity derivatives and structured products traders and sales teams in their daily activities.

  • Ensure accurate representation of traders’ financial transactions in the Bank’s various systems.

  • Oversee client settlements and ensure compliance with operational standards.

  • Contribute to the optimal integration of new products and regulatory or technological requirements in collaboration with the process advisor.

  • Participate in analysis and testing phases to ensure the efficient delivery of projects.

  • Update and optimize existing processes and procedures to drive efficiency and automation.

Your team

As part of the Capital Markets Operations sector, you are joining a team of 16 colleagues located in Calgary, Toronto and Montreal, reporting to the Director, Equity Derivatives and Structured Products. Our team stands out for its expertise in OTC products, its proactive and passionate members, and its close collaboration to enhance the profitability of Capital Markets. You’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Front Office, Market Risk, New Products, Operations, and IT.

Prerequisites

  • Completed bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least one year of relevant experience, or completed undergraduate program and three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Capital Markets operations.
  • Experience solving issues related to complex financial transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of derivatives.
  • Proficiency with Excel (VBA, Macros, Pivot tables) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Bilingualism is not required for candidates located in Calgary or Toronto; proficiency in spoken and written English is essential.
