Intermediate Clerk - Food Services - Temporary Part-Time 2026-17478
About the role
Summary of Duties:
- Obtain patients’ meal selections and food preferences on a daily basis
- Enter patients’ menu selections into the computer system.
- Process and enter patients’ food preferences
- Process diet changes, print late trays as requested
- Answer phone, handle and direct food related queries to appropriate staff.
- Additional tasks as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Student or graduate of Food & Nutrition program is preferred
- 1 year Nutrition/diet related experience is preferred
- Good telephone manner with demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written
- Good interpersonal skills, demonstrated Patient Focused Care Philosophy
- Knowledge of therapeutic nutrition is an asset
- CBORD knowledge is preferred
- Food Handler Certification is an asset
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Keyboarding skills at 50 w.p.m. with maximum 5% error rate
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
