Job Summary:
Main requirements of this role is to support the maintenance and repair of process equipment and calibrations in the operation of the plant. In addition, the maintenance technician is responsible for supporting external contractors for the maintenance and repair of the operations at the plant. The role is also responsible for supporting the running and maintaining the preventative maintenance system to pre-determined guidelines. The role is also responsible for daily completion site utility checklist.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the maintenance of all utility and process equipment onsite and support Facilities where required.
- Ensure daily records onsite utilities are up to date
- Respond to facility and reactive maintenance requests
- Lead the scheduled calibrations and maintenance as per Standard Operating Instructions.
- Assist in facility projects.
- Support in the management of maintenance contracts and contractors.
- Filing and archiving of Facilities and Maintenance documentation.
- Work with Engineering team to identify maintenance strategy for all equipment.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
- Work to identify opportunities for improvements.
- Work with Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Supervisor to ensure PM program is kept up to date.
- Assist in audits and support investigations to close deviations, change control and CAPA’s
- Manages site security and work closely with security contractors
- Assist in ensuring minimum equipment downtime through preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Respond to failed equipment or out of spec to meet production/batch release requirements.
- Plan equipment downtime with production and external vendors.
- Assist in developing/reviewing/updating relevant SOP for instruments and onsite to global and industry standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Certification or Diploma in Trade qualification Mechanical/ Electrical /Instrumentation and or Diploma in Engineering, Electrical/ Process/Mechanical or building services engineering required.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years hands on working experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Familiarity using CMMS.
- Ability to interpret/design electrical schematics and to read hydraulic, pneumatic and PandID drawings
- Previous experience working on technically challenging applications would be an advantage (i.e.) medical, tight tolerance work.
- Team player.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels within the organization.
- Structured way of working and strong organizational skills
