Position Details:
Position: Full Time Security Officer
Site: The Gathering Place
Overtime: Overtime after 48 hours
Hours: Monday through Friday 1600-0000*?*
Payrate: $ 19.00/hour
Posting Date: October 23rd, 2025

Schedule Example:
- Monday through Friday - 1600 - 0000
Key responsibilities:
- TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Based on specific site posting, log and report all incidents reported by hospital staff, physicians, patients or visitors
- Patrol interior and exterior of facility preventing unauthorized entry; in a composed manner direct individuals initiating disruption to leave the premises
- While on patrol, monitor risks such as unlocked doors, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical issues, hazardous material and additional breaches of security
- Respond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance.
Monitoring situations, cameras, property and events - Communicate in a truthful and receptive manner under all circumstances as well as provide information regarding the facility as requested by personnel
- Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and visitors through courteous and respectful relations perceived from their viewpoint
- Monitor and screen visitors and clients in a professional manner in order to grant access to the facility
Prerequisites:
- Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a CSA-approved vendor)
- Valid class 5 Driver License
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
