Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Development, the Account Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting and approaching new potential accounts/corporate customers within their assigned territory and presenting them with managed safety footwear and PPE programs with Work Authority. The assigned territory for this position is Kitchener/Waterloo and surrounding area and the QEW corridor from Burlington to Niagara.

The Account Sales Representative is also responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with existing accounts within their assigned territory. The candidate must be comfortable with cold calling, networking, and available to travel within their assigned territory to visit customers and potentially attend trade shows and other events off site.

This is a remote position, with expectations that time will also be spent at assigned Work Authority store locations to work with stores on new opportunities as well as existing accounts. Strong organizational skills and communication skills along with a strong understanding of the Work Authority business is a must.

Position Responsibilities

  • Actively manage, develop and grow corporate accounts in a large, pre-existing and new customer base as a Sales account representative.
  • Visit businesses, factories and distributors, to understand their sales needs, provide real, practical solutions and deliver exceptional support.
  • Use your sales experience to prospect and develop new, exciting business relationships.
  • Present solutions in a professional and knowledgeable way to customers. Listen to their needs and present them with the best solution.
  • Work with their manager to come up with the best pricing solutions and service solutions for the customers.
  • Increase sales within the assigned territory both through new business as well as growth opportunities with existing business.
  • Run reports to analyze sales by accounts and monitor sales territory targets.
  • Represent Work Authority, a brand known for quality safety products with the best service and programs in the industry.

Position Requirements

  • 3 -5 years of sales experience preferred, either outside B2B sales or retail sales with understanding of corporate account sales.
  • Corporate/business account management experience (asset)
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving and presentation skills are a must.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power-Point, Outlook)
  • Available for overnight travel if needed.

Compensation Details: $62,000 - $70,000
