The Accounts Receivable Clerk supports the credit department with processing and posting customer accounts and assisting Financial Managers as necessary.

Accounts Receivable Clerk (Long Term Temporary)
This position is available in our Regional Office located in Kitchener, Ontario

Major Responsibilities:
- Sort customer cheques from regular mail. Prepare appropriate batches and balance.
- Post customer payments to their accounts and balance to the prior batching total.
- Post branch payments from summary sheets provided from the various branch locations.
- Follow-up on customer credit letters to ensure we receive an acknowledgement copy back.
- Research customer payment discrepancies, i.e. reconcile short payments, over payments, and communicating with branch or customers as required.
- Coordinate and assist Financial Managers with monthly account review list.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Minimum Grade 12 Education; post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills.
- Excellent keyboarding skills.
- Highly organized and a problem solver.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Willingness to go the extra mile.
- Experience with Sx.Enterprise / Trend is an asset but not required
- Great communicator with strong internal/external customer relationship building skills.
- Detail and results oriented.
