About the role
General Liquids Canada, part of the Municipal Group of Companies, operates a state of art Liquid Asphalt Emulsion Plant, Liquid Asphalt Terminal and Performance Laboratory for the Municipal Group of Companies. General Liquids Canada is looking for a dynamic and customer service-oriented Office Administrator to join our team based out of Waverley, NS.
Job Summary:
The Office Administrator reports to the General Manager of General Liquids Canada and will work as a full-time employee. The main role for this position is to support the needs of the office and laboratory staff.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as a representative of the company demonstrating superior judgement and excellent customer service
Manage all bill of ladings, enter tickets into the accounting system, and invoice
Prepare monthly quotes and email out to customers
Fill out timesheets and email to payroll department
Approve and process vendor invoices
Request quotes from vendors and obtain purchase orders
Maintain records for AC and emulsion tenders
Ensure SDS sheets are up to date in SharePoint and in physical binders
Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services
Review incoming email and answer telephone calls
Ensure adequate supplies of office stationery, general office supplies, etc.
Organize, maintain, and coordinate office records and files in their proper locations
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:
Experience with Microsoft Office Suites preferred
Strong interpersonal skills
Effective problem-solving skills
High attention to detail
Utilizes strong organizational and planning skills
Ability to work in fast paced team environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
