Experience Research Analyst

This position will be located in the Toronto head office.
As an Experience Research Analyst in the Research Centre of Excellence team, you will contribute to the execution of research projects that inform strategic decisions across Canada Life. You’ll apply foundational skills in data handling, survey execution, and insight generation, while continuing to build expertise through hands-on experience and mentorship. This role is suited to individuals with early-career experience in research who are ready to deepen their capabilities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
The position will have a stronger focus on quantitative work, including data analysis, survey design, and performance measurement. You’ll support projects across Customer Experience (CX), Brand Experience (BX), and User Experience (UX) domains, with potential opportunities to engage in qualitative research depending on project needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Research Execution: Support the development and execution of CX, BX, UX, and ad-hoc Market Research (MR) projects for internal client groups across Canada Life, under the guidance of senior team members
- Data & Tools: Apply research tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Qualtrics, and SPSS to manage and analyse data, while continuing to build proficiency
- Insight Generation & Storytelling: Identify trends in data and assist in crafting compelling narratives that support business decisions
- Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in meetings, document feedback, and ensure stakeholder needs are captured accuratels
- Collaboration: Work cooperatively with team members, contributing to shared tasks and project goals
- Project Management: Follow project plans, communicate blockers, and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks
- Strategic Acumen: Develop an understanding of business context and ask thoughtful questions to deepen insight
What a Typical Day Looks Like:
- Analysing survey data to uncover trends and performance insights
- Collaborating with colleagues on CX, BX, and UX project deliverables
- Preparing visual reports and presentations for internal stakeholders
- Attending project meetings and capturing feedback for action
- Managing survey platforms and ensuring data quality
- Responding to ad-hoc requests from internal clients with agility and precision
What You’ll Bring:
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business, Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, or a field related to research and analytics
- Approximately 1–3 years of experience working in supplier-side research (e.g. Ipsos, Abacus, RSG, Environics, Leger, Forum Research, etc.)
- Successful completion of the Research Analyst Postgraduate Program (Humber, Georgian, or Algonquin postgrad programs) strongly preferred
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Proactive and curious mindset
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience or interest in survey platforms like Qualtrics is an asset
- Qualtrics certification (DesignXM, Research Core Advanced, or similar) is considered a strong asset. Selected candidates will be required to obtain certification within 6 months of successful hiring
The base salary for this position is between $58,800 - $88,100 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
